About Us

We are an independent Christian church in a small farming and ranching community in the Texas panhandle.  We hold the truth of the Bible in the highest regard.  We are a "come as you are" church.  You will see anything from jeans and t-shirts to suits, and all are welcome.  While we want to welcome you as you are, we hope that you will leave with a change in your heart because of the love of Christ and the work of the Holy Spirit in our church.

Our desire is for you to feel welcome at First Christian Church.  You might feel like you are not worthy to step into a church, or that you have been away from God too long to go back, but you are wrong.  We are all sinners in need of God's love and mercy.  God stands at the door of your heart knocking, waiting to come in and fill the void you feel. Open the door and let him in.  It is not too late for you.

One guarantee we can make is that you will be among imperfect people here.  We will make mistakes, but we believe in the grace and love of Christ to help us through those moments.  Thank God for sending the only perfect person, Jesus Christ, to die on our behalf and pay for our sins, because we are definitely not worthy otherwise.

But God loves us so much, He sent His Son to die on the cross for us ... all because He WANTS to be in a relationship with us!
